Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur and Sisters of the Presentation of Mary Announce Formal Proceedings Have Begun for NDCR Purchase of Five PMA School Buildings on Searles Estate

Lawrence, MA/Methuen, MA – The Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur (SNDdeN) and the Sisters of Presentation of Mary announced today that formal proceedings have begun for the SNDdeN sponsored Notre Dame Cristo Rey High School (NDCR) to purchase Presentation of Mary Academy’s (PMA) school buildings in Methuen. The school section of the former Searles Estate consists of five buildings, approximately 5+acres of a 24+ acre property which the Sisters are selling.

NDCR Establishes The Peg Downing Family Scholarship

The Notre Dame Cristo Rey High School community mourns the passing of our great friend and mentor, Peg Downing. Peg was a woman of deep commitment, love and support for our students, our faculty and our staff.  Serving as principal in 2013/2014, Peg left a lasting impression on all who met her - we already miss her energy, enthusiasm and that amazing smile.  We know that Peg will continue to be our loudest cheerleader from her new home.

$385,500 Awarded in Financial Scholarships!

On May 30, 2019, over 100 Notre Dame Cristo Rey High School students were awarded $385,500 in financial scholarships. From academic performance to demonstration of leadership and values, awards ranged in sums of $500 to over $10,000 for students (covering a family’s portion of tuition for their child’s entire high school career at NDCR).
