  • It is with profound sadness that the community of Notre Dame Cristo Rey High School announces the passing of Sister Margaret Mary Mohr, MFIC on September 4, 2015.

A beloved faculty member, a dedicated teacher and a gifted mentor to her students, Sr. Margaret Mary, through her generosity of spirit, embodied the mission and vision of Notre Dame Cristo Rey. A trained librarian, she had the vision to create a state of the art library that supported each student’s goal to achieve a college education. A skilled teacher, Sr. Margaret Mary’s religion and American History classes were counted among some of the favorite courses at NDCR. She took great pride in her role as faculty advisor of the St. Julie Billiart National Honor Society and also the Student Council. A quiet leader at Notre Dame Cristo Rey, Sr. Margaret Mary’s memory will be etched in the minds and hearts of administrators, faculty, staff, students and families as one who was a faithful, treasured member of our NDCR community.

We invite the Lawrence community to celebrate Sr. Margaret Mary's life with us on September 15, 2015 at 5:00 PM at St. Mary of the Assumption Church.

In honor of her outstanding contribution to the education of so many students over these ten years, Sr. Maryalyce Gilfeather, SNDdeN, President of Notre Dame Cristo Rey High School, is proud to announce the establishment of the Sister Margaret Mary Mohr, MFIC Scholarship.  We invite you to contribute to this Scholarship fund in Sister’s memory, joining with her in support of the young people at Notre Dame Cristo Rey High School.

  • May 5, 2015 (Lawrence, MA) – For the first time since the school opened in 2004, Notre Dame Cristo Rey High School raised over $500,000 for their annual Gala & Auction season.  And as donations continue to come in the mail, the Mission Advancement team can hardly keep back the tears of joy that accompany yet another check to support the students at NDCR.
