November 18, 2014 (Lawrence, MA) – Entering into a month of keen focus on thanksgiving and gratitude, the community at Notre Dame Cristo Rey High School is about to embark upon writing even more “thank you notes” than ever. Having recently received the news from the Cristo Rey Network that NDCR student workers ranked #1 in overall workplace performance for the third consecutive time, the school is bursting at the seams with excitement. NDCR is one of 28 urban city member high schools throughout the county, educating over 9,000 students.

It’s a simple concept. Take all the students in your high school, work closely with them on their rigorous academic schedule for four days a week and then drop them off “at the office” for the fifth. The result? 100% acceptance into four-year colleges, a 95% retention rate from Freshman-Sophomore year in college and a powerful, college-graduated workforce reentering your city.

Warning:  this model, a Cristo Rey model, is not for the meek.
