Retreats

9th Grade – Cuvilly in a Day: Rooted in Mission
Freshmen explore the story of St. Julie Billiart and the founding of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. This retreat helps students reflect on their own roots — family, community, and faith — and discover how they are now rooted in the shared mission of Notre Dame Cristo Rey. Students begin to see themselves as part of something larger, grounded in purpose and belonging.
10th Grade – Going to the Mountaintop
Sophomores are invited to step away from daily life to gain new perspectives. Inspired by the might of mountains, this retreat focuses on recognizing moments of growth, change, and closeness to God. Students reflect on how these “mountaintop moments” prepare them to live with faith and courage when they return to everyday challenges.
11th Grade – Route 495: Where Am I Going?
As students prepare for their final years at NDCR and life beyond high school, the junior retreat centers on direction and discernment. Using the image of the road as a metaphor for life’s journey, students are challenged to think about their goals, values, and how God might be calling them forward. This retreat encourages trust, self-reflection, and openness to the road ahead.
12th Grade – Methuen in a Day: Living the Mission
The senior retreat brings the four-year experience full circle. Having been rooted in mission and grown in faith, students now turn outward toward their community. Through service, prayer, and reflection, seniors consider how they will live out the mission of St. Julie and NDCR in the next chapter of their lives. It is both a celebration and a commissioning — a sending forth to be people of light and purpose.
