Campus Ministry

Campus Ministry provides opportunities for students to grow in faith and community through:

• Grade-level retreats that promote reflection, connection, and spiritual growth
   
• Group and one-on-one conversations offering pastoral support and guidance
   

A consistent and caring presence on campus that encourages openness and belonging

Campus Ministry oversees programs that foster faith, service, and leadership:

• 1804 Club: Campus Ministry Club for students interested in faith-based discussion and community-building
   
• Community Service: A vital expression of faith in action, including the junior-year service requirement
   

Peer Ministers: Student leaders who assist with retreats, prayer, and service, helping to model faith and leadership for their peers

Campus Ministry coordinates school-wide and class-level worship opportunities that strengthen our shared faith:

• Masses celebrating the liturgical year and school milestones
   
• Prayer services that invite reflection, gratitude, and community connection

Students encounter faith in action through retreats and service opportunities designed to foster reflection, empathy, and community engagement. Campus Ministry plans and facilitates:

• Grade-level retreats that align with each stage of student development
   
• Service projects and outreach experiences that connect faith with social responsibility and the call to serve others

Campus Ministry mentors student leaders who model faith, integrity, and compassion.

• Peer Ministers receive formation in prayer leadership, service organization, and community outreach
   
• Student leaders gain experience guiding others in faith, reflection, and school-wide initiatives

Campus Ministry partners with faculty, staff, and administration to strengthen Notre Dame Cristo Rey’s Catholic identity and foster student involvement. Ministry extends beyond scheduled programs—through hallway conversations, the Samaritan Shelves, and being visibly present at games, events, and daily life on campus. Whether coaching or cheering from the sidelines, Campus Ministry is part of the heart and rhythm of NDCR.

Campus Ministry plays an active role in the broader school community by participating in:

• Open House and Report Card Nights
   
• Community service initiatives
   
• Faith-based outreach and family engagement events
