We are still checking in with our families as so many are still displaced, and we do not know their whereabouts. We know that at least two NDCR families experienced fires at home. One has resulted in a total loss. It is with great sadness that we share with you that the one person killed in this tragedy was 18-year old Leonel Rondón, brother of our current sophomore, Leonardi Rondón and 2012 graduate, Lucianny Rondón.
With so many of you asking how you can help, we have created a "NDCR Family Emergency Fund" to support our families impacted by this devastation. This fund will provide direct relief for those displaced, in hotels, tuition assistance due to these unforeseen expenses, and support for the Rondón family. Any assistance that you can give will certainly be most appreciated.
