National Honor Society

At Notre Dame Cristo Rey High School, the Saint Julie Billiart Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) personifies our school’s commitment to the values of scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Chapter membership not only recognizes students for their accomplishments but challenges them to develop further through active involvement in NDCRHS activities and community service. The NHS strives to acknowledge the total student — one who excels in all areas.

Membership in this prestigious organization is one of the highest honors that can be bestowed on a high school student. Each student member needs to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher during her/his high school career. 

Clearly being a member of the Nation Honor Society signifies a high level of accomplishment and service to the community. 

The National Honor Society was founded to inspire enthusiasm for scholarship, encourage service to others, promote strong leadership, and develop character in high school students.

• Scholarship — commitment to learning and academic excellence

• Service — dedication to helping others and building community

• Leadership — initiative, responsibility, and guiding by example

• Character — integrity, respect, and ethical behavior

• Be a member of the sophomore, junior or senior class
• Be enrolled at NDCR a minimum of one semester
• Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5
